My View: The way that critics rave over it is understandable, and it is truly brilliant. It simply doesn't hold a whole ton of interest FOR ME. Beware that this book is written in extremely old, Irish-dialect-y language and can be hard to understand, especially thanks to the lack of quotation marks. Old writer, old story, old-fashioned. I'm all for retro and vintage or whatever, but this can be snooze-inducing.
