My View: I picked this book up from the local library on accident, but I read it on the car ride home because it's a quick, 1-hour read that gives a very elaborate (not to mention extremely optimistic) view of the business world. A decent 3rd-grade reader will understand it pretty well, but excellent readers will have these business concepts down pat after finishing the book because it's written for 10-year-olds. The characters were oddly realistic.... not because the author crafted them extremely well, just that he wasn't trying hard enough to make them fake... in other words, he was basing these people off of entirely real characters in his own life. The speech patterns fall together nicely, and, despite a very unbelievable fight scene and some too-good-to-be-true luck, the story makes sense and achieves the goal of letting young readers understand elementary business.

Just about anything the boy's Grandma says is pretty darn hilarious… probably mostly because it mirrors some of my speech.
